Where I look is where I go!
A friend shares a list of struggles with me and my thoughts turn to aspects of life that feel negative. I get off the phone and notice my low energy. Later, I complain to my boyfriend, “I’m tired of complaints.” Then I laugh. I notice the synchronicity; it was my attention to what was unwanted that caused me to feel negative versus being in a place of possibility. By recognizing this I’m already relaxing, and the laughter helps. Moving to a better feeling place is a deliberate process and sometimes takes me time, but I’m so happy I’m finding a gentler way to see myself stuck in the “tar-baby” as Abraham-Hicks calls it and take responsibility…even laugh.
My day got off to a better start today when I took time to meditate on some readings (just 15 minutes or so) and then write some “thank you” notes.

I have playlists titled “Energy,” “Uplift,” “Meditation,” “Sing It,” etc. Here are some of my current favorites, hope you keep on hand the beats that keep you “up.” Love, Coyote*Sweet Home Alabama

“There is not a subject of greater importance. The subject of self-appreciation is literally at the heart of everything.” Abraham-Hicks
Listening to recordings on my walk this morning on this topic of self-appreciation, immediately I felt more connected to my “enoughness” and innate goodness.
I don’t know about you, but when I am in a good mood and I am offering positive energy in my day, then I am more likely to have positive interactions. Furthermore, when I’m really holding my point of attention on positive aspects of myself and everything else, the cranksters and potential annoyances don’t rock my boat. But what an every day and every moment practice this is!
It’s so easy to find fault, even a little one…this morning I complained about how in NY I can’t put my own cream in my coffee! In Seattle… I saw myself do this, laughed, and came back to giving my attention to aspects of my positive reality. So, it’s an all the time practice. I’m never off the hook. I hope as I practice it becomes again natural to hold myself in a positive place of possibility and attraction. Last night, I watched that John Clease laughter video I posted a couple days ago, that helps! My boyfriend also does a great imitation of Jim Carey and that gets me going. It really is however, my desire to feel good and my intentional focus that shifts the balance of how I feel.Hope you have fun with your practices. After all, we do “Rock the Casbah” – just as we are! Here and now.

Last night my six year old friend is wrestling with his uncle and he says, “Love is stronger than muscle!!” I love the spontaneity and simplicity of his statement.
Those who flex muscle without love or joy but with resistance attract the same, resistance. Those who do what they do with love create experiences that please them.
I watched a triathlon last weekend and loved watching all the ways people approached the challenge.

I’m not feeling the song, I can change the station or let’s say I can’t at the moment. I can still look for reasons to be happy. I get to choose which aspects of my experience to focus on, and that really makes the music.I love how this is illustrated in the movie August Rush.

LAUGH – Part 2:
I’m still on the topic of laughter. Laughing at a funny movie last night (and the human condition portrayed so well in Little Miss Sunshine), and still laughing today at the memory of laughing last night (that’s interesting don’t you think). It may be a good practice just to sit back, close our eyes and remember funny scenes from our lives or movies.
Hope you enjoy this video or find the ones that move your belly to shakin.’
Love,
Coyote

I know that life can be a delicious adventure, so I've embarked on a quest to know it as such through experience. In the process, I'm learning to get out of my own way and laugh more. My intention is not to tell you "the" way, there are many ways and your inner-resources and personal experience can guide you. However, something here may inspire you to seek a direction or follow an idea that already resonates for you. I wish you the best conditions for your life adventure. Love, Coyote Karrick
